Builds Customized CBT Courses in Minutes

Using PTS CBT Customizer, a training administrator can build standard or custom CBT courses from thousands of learning objects in just minutes. Training administrators can specify the topics they want and determine whether the material will be presented in a pre-ordered sequence of topics (where topics appear in the order the administrators selected) or whether they will be able to randomly choose topics ("Explorer Mode").

Manages Student Enrollment

The enrollment and tracking tool allows administrators to set various options, including the degree to which they want to control the learning process. The system can be tightly controlled - where administrators establish students, create IDs and enroll students in courses; or very open - where anyone can sign in and take courses. In addition, student groups and course groups (curriculums) can be established to speed up the enrollment process.

Tracks Student Activity

As students take a course, their activity is recorded into a tracking system. The activity is tracked at a course and topic level, recording the date and time of activity. The data can be recorded into the system in "real time" mode - when the student completes taking the CBT; or in "batch" mode - when CBT activities occur in a remote environment. CBT data can also be saved for import into other human resources or tracking systems.

PTS CBT screens include text, animation and easy to understand learning concepts.

Student Assessments

When a course is delivered to students, it can contain quiz questions. An option can be set to indicate whether students should be provided with feedback. Results of the quizzes are included in many of the tracking reports offered and are often used to justify training costs.

Reinforcement or Alternative to Instructor-Led Training

When configured in Sequential Mode, PTS CBT can be used as a cost-effective alternative to instructor-led training. Topics are presented in a highly structured format which guides students through the learning process.

When configured in Explorer Mode, PTS CBT allows students to select the order of topics to learn. This mode provides the benefit of "Just-In-Time learning" since the student can access learning objects when needed.

Network Friendly

Customizable CBT can be installed locally at the desktop or delivered across a network. Whereas other products claim to be "networkable", PTS CBT is truly "network friendly". The size of files sent to and from the desktop averages less than the size of a typical spreadsheet or word processing document.
